On October 27, Rio Tinto Group and Sinosteel Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd. signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Establishing a Partnership" ("MOU") in Beijing, marking the start of a new chapter in cooperation. The collaboration aims to fully leverage the Chinese partner’s leading advantages in design and engineering services to support Rio Tinto’s global project development and operational excellence.
Sinosteel E&T boasts prominent strength in the industry, providing professional engineering and design services across multiple fields, including mining, mineral processing, metal metallurgy, and related infrastructure.
Pursuant to the MOU, Rio Tinto and Sinosteel E&T will cooperate on projects related to Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), project consulting, design, and engineering services. Together, they will drive technological progress in the industry and inject new impetus into the sustainable development of the global mining sector.
